2018 Fire Prevention Dates And Keynote Speaker Announced

Join us at Campbell's Resort in Lake Chelan for the annual Fire Prevention Institute, Monday, October 23, 2018 through Friday, October 27, 2018.  Dr. David Griffin will open the FPI as keynote speaker, speaking on the Sofa Super Store fire and how it has shaped massive reforms on how firefighters are trained as well as how executives lead their teams. His message, "In Honor of The Charleston 9: A study of Change Following Tragedy" uses video footage from the fire and presented by the first due engineer on scene of the multiple line of duty death.

Basic Plan Review / Advanced Plan Review
Elevator Testing
Medical Gas Systems
Pressure Regulating Devices in Commercial Fire Protection
Food Trucks
Fire Alarm Intelligibility & Occupant Notification Requirements
Understanding the Hazardous Materials Requirements of the IFC
Social Media - Balancing Fire Department Policies and First Amendment Rights
Fire Investigation Track

Classes will include training hours needed for code re-certification.  WSAFM will issue ICC Credits.

Proposed By-Law Changes and Revisions

The Board of Directors is proposing changes to the current By-Laws.  The document is posted as a link and Association Members are asked to review the changes.  A live presentation will be forthcoming to explain the purpose of the changes and have opportunity to ask questions.
