Keynote Speaker Sheri Miter:

Leading With Intent and Desire

Sponsored By: TBA

Leading With Intent and Desire

Sheri Miter is a speaker, Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach™, and author of Discovering Your Calling, helping driven professionals lead and live with greater clarity, intention, and purpose.

After a 25-year career leading and growing a high-performing team—and rising to the top 1% of her company—Sheri made the courageous decision to walk away from success that no longer felt aligned, choosing instead to help others build lives and leadership paths rooted in purpose.

Today, she works with leaders, teams, and first responders—including fire departments—using the CliftonStrengths® framework developed by Gallup to strengthen leadership, increase self-awareness, and elevate performance under pressure.

Her connection to the fire service runs deep. As the wife of a retired Battalion Chief from Troy, NY, and the proud mother of three sons who have each served in the fire service in various capacities, Sheri understands both the demands and the deeper meaning behind the work.

Through her keynote, Leading With Intent and Desire, Sheri challenges audiences to move beyond routine—and step into a more intentional, purpose-driven way of leading that impacts not only how they work, but how they live.

Improving Performance Through Practical AI Integration

Dr. Ben Stone

Fire prevention leaders face rising workloads, expanding codes, and increasing public expectations. Many fire marshal offices operate with limited staffing and inconsistent data systems. This presentation shows how practical artificial intelligence tools strengthen daily workflow, improve accuracy, and support measurable gains in Fire Marshal efficiency. The session focuses on infrastructure, data quality, and organizational performance. You will see how AI supports plan review, inspection scheduling, report writing, code research, and public information tasks. These improvements increase consistency, reduce turnaround times, and free staff for higher value work.  The presentation highlights a structured method used to introduce AI within prevention operations. This includes policy development, training, ethical guardrails, and clear performance measures. Real examples show how AI improved file management, standardized inspection documentation, and supported data driven risk analysis. Each example ties to current prevention priorities and demonstrates transparent alignment with code enforcement and community risk reduction goals.  Participants will learn how to evaluate AI tools, select appropriate use cases, and measure results. You will leave with repeatable steps that support safer facilities and stronger prevention programs. This session provides practical instruction for leaders who want to modernize prevention operations without adding staff or complexity.
