The Institute also includes essential training hours needed for code recertification of local code enforcement officials, public educators and fire investigators.
The topics for the FPI are based on the survey returns from the 2023 FPI. These surveys are very vital to us as we continue to meet your needs for great educational programs.
Topics this year will include: data and fire inspections, energy storage systems, member wellness, fireworks, youth firesetters, report writing, fire causes and CRR, paint spraying, kitchen hoods, smoke dampers, and fire sprinklers and historic districts to name a few.

Catch the Vision for a Life of Significance or (Life Lessons through the eyes of Blind Guy)
Just when you thought you saw your life clearly, you get blindsided. Blindsided by doubt, by challenges, by pain, by sickness, by death, by a redirection of your purpose. What do you do to stay significant? Today you will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of not only living life, but living a life of significance no matter what:
1. Trust - the value and significance of trusting in what you cannot see (blindfolds will be provided for this part)
2. Trying – the value and significance of taking a calculated risk and blindly stepping out of your comfort zone
3. Training – Why training for the failure is as important (if not more) as training for the success
4. Thriving – the incredible value of learning how to live a life where you thrive, making a difference in not only your life, but in the lives of those you serve.
5. Thankful – The value of being thankful for what you can and cannot see
