Fire Inspector 1 Boot Camp - RESCHEDULED

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we will be rescheduling the Fire Inspector 1 Boot camp. The new dates will be June 8th-11th. The class will be held at Marysville Station 62. All registrations will automatically be moved to the new dates. If you cannot attend the new dates, please contact our office for a refund.

2018 Fire Code Update Classes - NOW ONLINE

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we have moved our Code Update Classes to a new online format. We are excited about this new opportunity. The new format will allow you to ask questions of the instructor and interact with your peers. The regional locations will identify the likely areas where the participants will reside. Once registered, you will receive a link from the instructor a week prior to the class. Please ensure that you have a mic and speakers for your computer.

27 Apr 2016 WSAFM 2015 IFC Code Update Classes - Richland 4/27/2016
Stay up to date with the latest changes to the Fire Code! Attend WSAFM's Fire Code Update class! As most of you are aware, the 2015 International Fire Code goes into effect July 1st, 2016 in the State of Washington. This one-day course will cover code changes from the 2012 to the 2015 edition of the International Fire Code. In addition, a review of the latest Washington State amendments to the Fire Code will be covered.
 
This course is being offered in multiple locations throughout the State. 0.65 ICC Preferred Provider CEU's will be awarded to those attending!

This seminar presents the process of conducting commercial fire inspections, following the provisions and requirements of the 2015 International Fire Code.  Specifically, the seminar provides participants with checklists that enable those performing commercial fire inspections to determine whether the materials, design, construction, installation, and location of building components comply with the code.
Upon completion, participants will be better able to:
 
Explain the importance and benefits of a fire inspection
Describe the four types of commercial fire inspections
Identify the occupancy type of a building
List the five types of construction
18 Oct 2016 2016 Fire Prevention Institute - VENDOR REGISTRATION 10/18/2016
The Washington State Association of Fire Marshals, in conjunction with the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office, WA Chapter of IAAI, and the Washington Public Fire  Educators will be hosting the Fire Prevention Institute, October 17-20, 2016 at Campbell's Resort, 104 W Woodin Ave, Chelan,Washington 98166.

Do you provide a service or a product that can help us improve our service delivery or prevent fires and injuries? If you are interested in meeting the buyers of today and tomorrow, learning your customer's needs, demonstrating new products, expanding your market area, increasing your sales, or establishing new contacts, you will not want to miss the opportunity to participate in Vendor Luncheon and Night! The vendor lunch allows one representative from each company one minute of introduction. This is a great opportunity to meet those who are end users of your products and services.

The audience will include city and county fire marshals, public educators, fire prevention officers, state officials, and other interested organization and corporation leaders. 

This year again will feature lunch with the vendors on Tuesday, October 18, followed by "Vendor Night" Tuesday evening. Vendors set up between 9:00 am to 11:00 Tuesday morning to catch attendees during breaks and lunch. If you are not set up by 11:00 a.m. you may do so after 1:30 p.m., as the Vendor Reception will begin at 4:30 p.m.
